'Come to the edge', he said. 'We are afraid', they said. 'Come to the edge', he said. They came...
he pushed them and they flew.
"I can't begin to tell you how much you've meant to us. You've been so good to Austin, but also more than a friend to me. When I felt so alone you came in to tell me what mattered to me, mattered to you". Parent/2001
"...we found the recent ARD and your insight very helpful. We no longer feel like we're in this alone". Parents/2003

I firmly believe that every person has a right to a life of quality and equality. Those rights come from being equally educated by quality educators.
Personal Bio:
Growing up I had a sister (pictured to the right) who was born microcephalic. I am inspired by her life's journey and memory. As a young adult, I worked for the Board of Mental Health and Mental Retardation in Ohio. That experience lead me to pursue a degree in Elementary Education, and eventually I received a Masters in Special Education at the University of Houston. I have taught in both general and special education settings. Additionally, I have had the pleasure to teach in an accredited preschool program.
My life has been, and always will be, dedicated to the well-being of others.     I am passionate about my work!
